Decorative concrete is nothing more than cement or rubber, sprayed onto the walls and/or floors in order to create some kind of design or pattern. Decorative concrete ideas can be made from a variety of materials, such as wood, glass, metal, glass, glass beads, granite, marble, wood etc.
Although the application of decorative concrete is a relatively new concept, it has been around for many years and even centuries. It was mainly used in older structures such as those found in the Middle East and Europe, but has now become popular with people looking to decorate their homes and offices. These are now becoming more popular with architects, designers and home owners as well, for reasons which will become apparent as you read this article.
When I say that decorative concrete has been around for many years, I don't mean the easy application of concrete that made its way into your local wallpaper store and was soon forgotten about. Rather, decorative concrete has been around for hundreds of years and continues to be used today, making use of the same principals and the same techniques, just with a better application process.
Of course, not every style of decorative concrete is the same. There are many different designs and different materials which have been used to create concrete art over the years and today.
There is a great variety of methods used today in order to create the look of decorative concrete, from applying decorative concrete to the wall or floor directly or to furniture by adding the decorative patterns to the surface of the furniture. Today's more high-tech methods use computer-controlled machines to produce these designs and patterns. Here are a few examples of decorative concrete applications:
Flowers: - Many people like to decorate their walls and floors with flowers, especially those that they pick themselves. Some people even choose to add a stencil to the flower they have picked, so that they can find a different flower when the time comes. This method of applying a decorative concrete involves painting a circle with some sort of design onto the wall and then letting the flower out in an open vase.
Other decorative concrete patterns include animals and icons. You can get animal posters which can be decorated with flowers, or you can choose to add some icons to your wall with the help of stencils and other decorative concrete patterns. There are many different types of patterns and designs, so there is sure to be one that will suit your taste and get you inspired.
