BIO

William has been painting and drawing for as long as he can remember. As a child attending church services, he was mesmerized by statues, paintings, and icons, seen through the haze of burning incense. In elementary school, he was deeply moved and inspired by an art appreciation program that introduced him to the study of artists and art history. His big sister encouraged him further,  and gave him his first lessons in drawing technique.  William's continued interest in both science and spirituality informs his work. Born in Rockville Centre, Long Island, he grew up in central Pennsylvania, and has lived in Los Angeles and New York City. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA from Penn State University, and has lived in Jersey City since 1995. His work is in numerous public and private collections.
