Book the Stair Stadium event space
The Precinct is located in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, it's an innovation hub that brings together investors, funded startups, incubators and innovation mentors under one roof. Providing facilities and co-working space for innovative thinkers, The Precinct connects the Queensland startup community with each other and support networks to promote grow and develop.
The Stair Stadium event space
This event space is located on the 2nd floor in the center of The Precinct and named "Stair Stadium". The Stair Stadium can be booked for events, activities and workshops that support Queensland's startup and innovation ecosystem etc.
It is an open, versatile space that has been used for a range of events including pitch nights, product launches, hackathons and seminars etc.
The Stair Stadium is situated in the center of The Precinct which means it's surrounded by some of Queensland's leading tech entrepreneurs and innovative organisations.
The Facility
The Stair Stadium event space can hold up to 150 people, the stadium seats approx 100 people, an additional 40 chairs can be placed at floor level for extra seating in front of the large screen, and a standing area next to the kitchen for around 30 people. Users of this space will also have access to the user friendly Audiovisual LED system to ensure an successful event etc.

- Small round tables
- Stools & bar stools
- Arm chairs
- Extra floor chairs
The AV system includes:
- Large 3.5m x 2m LCD screen with HDMI or ClickShare connectivity.
- Two wireless handheld microphones + two lapel microphones.
- 3.5mm jack for phones and music players.
- Free guest WiFi available
The adjacent shared kitchen can also be used while holding an event. There are four fridges (subject to space), four microwaves and two zip taps with instant hot water and chilled water. There are some crockery and limited glassware available for tenant use, it is recommended that external event organisers bring their own or hire glassware. The Precinct does not provide catering services however you are welcome to hire or provide your own catering arrangements for your event.
After Hours Fees
After hours air conditioning fees apply and weekend events with catering provided will incur a mandatory cleaning fee.
Availability
The Stair Stadium event space is a popular venue among our Precinct tenants, it is recommended to book at least one month in advance.
We endeavour to keep the event calendar updated weekly but there are a number of instances where dates are not available, despite being shown as available.
Event Request Form
Email the workplacemgr@ditid.qld.gov.au to confirm event space availability and to be emailed the Event Request Form.
Complete the Event Request Form and read the Terms & Conditions and sign the form to request a booking.
The completed Form must be returned to: workplacemgr@ditid.qld.gov.au
We can not confirm an event booking without receiving a completed and signed Event Request Form.
3. If your application is approved, you will receive a confirmation email completing your Stair Stadium event booking.
Please note, if you're an external organisation looking to hold an event at The Precinct and having difficulty completing an Event Request Form, there are applications available on request from the Workplace Manager email: workplacemgr@ditid.qld.gov.au
