Participating in a play is a unique privilege that can be a memorable and educational experience for any student. Being part of a theatrical production on or off-stage can be an unforgettable community building experience. We are fortunate to have talented professionals working with our students on all aspects of our productions. Crew members will learn about lighting, sound, props, sets, make-up and much more. There will be a $30 dues which includes a musical t-shirt.
Below is the the Stage Crew Schedule, show’s fundraiser, rehearsal and performance dates. This schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the show. Stage Crew members are expected to be flexible with their schedules to accommodate any needed extra rehearsals, work days etc. You can access our FULL schedule on CREW CALENDAR page.

In order to work smoothly, we need to establish clear and consistent guidelines. The following will be expected from everyone involved in our show:
1. Every person must have a consistently positive attitude and respect for all. Any student who is disrespectful to another actor, crew member, or adult will have a conference with the Technical Director, Ms. Abbondante. Dismissal from the show follows a second offense.
2. You must attend every rehearsal for which you are scheduled. It is the student’s responsibility to check regularly for rehearsal schedule updates. Absence from a rehearsal or performance must be approved by Technical Director, Ms. Abbondante. It is unacceptable to simply NOT show up for a rehearsal. An unexcused absence may result in dismissal from the show.
3. Attendance is taken at every rehearsal and show. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the Technical Director has noted their attendance.
4. Absolutely NO food, drinks (except water), candy or gum is allowed on or back stage or in the control booth. Snacks brought at rehearsals and should only be consumed at times and in locations specified by the Director and/or Technical Director.
5. You are expected to remain at the theater for the entire rehearsal/performance. If there is an urgent situation and you must leave. You must speak to the Technical Director, Ms. Abbondante prior to leaving.
6. Cell phones must be SILENT and put away while in the theater, on (or back) stage or in the sound booth and while you are working during rehearsals and shows.
7. Each student and their parent/guardian shall sign the Stage Crew Expectations signifying that they have read and understand this document and are ready to make the required commitment to participate in this activity.
8. Homework: There will be ample “down-time” during rehearsals for homework and students are expected to effectively manage their time to ensure their schoolwork does not suffer from their participation in this activity.
9. Please note that stage crew will meet after 6pm on some weeknights and closer to the show will be required to be there for the run throughs and then stage crew meeting after.
By reading and signing this Stage Crew Application, I acknowledge that I have read and understood this document and I will commit to all mandatory dates as well as the deconstruction of the set. I also understand that breaking this agreement will affect my future involvement with the stage crew.
