Aquia District BSA Scouts will be collecting nonperishable food donations for the Annual Scouting For Food drive to address food insecurity in our local area. Aquia District covers Stafford County and Quantico. Scouts will be at grocery stores and distributing door hangers. Pantries supported include St. Peter's Lutheran Church, SERVE , St. William of York Outreach and Hartwood Presbyterian Church and several others. Please see the PANTRY WISH LISTS page for donation suggestions.
You may see Stafford County BSA Scouts in front of local grocery stores across Stafford. They are Scouting For Food! They are collecting non-perishable donations over the first two weekends of November. So look for our Scouts:
Saturday, November 1, 2025
Sunday, November 2, 2025
Saturday, November 8, 2025
Sunday, November 9, 2025
Door hangers will be distributed by Scouts in select neighborhoods across Stafford County the weekend of November 1, 2025, and Scouts will return to pick up your donations from your doorstep or by your mailbox on
Saturday, November 8, 2025 beginning at 9AM
Neighborhoods covered this year include Aquia Harbor, Leeland Station, Cardinal Forest, Berea Knolls and in Celebrate Virginia, houses in the section off of Bolivar Point including all streets off of Denison and Montera.
Scouts will be collecting nonperishable food items such as canned meats, vegetables, fruits, stews and soups as well as dry pastas, grains and cereals. Scouts will collect hygiene items such as diapers, wipes and soaps too. We would like to avoid glass items if possible. For the WISH LISTS for each of the pantries, please take a look at our Pantry Wish Lists page.
We appreciate your donations but please ensure packaging has not been opened and food that is out of date beyond one year cannot be given out to our neighbors in need.
