# 1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Staff Loan EMI Calculator PSU ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). This App is designed for employees of Public Sector Units (PSUs) and Public Sector Banks, as well as common individuals who have obtained loans from their employers on a simple interest basis.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

## 2. Important Notice – No Financial Data Collection

We do **not** collect, store, or transmit any financial information you enter into the calculator. All loan amounts, interest rates, repayment ratios, and EMI calculations are processed entirely locally on your device. **None of this data is ever sent to our servers or any third-party servers** (except as explicitly stated for advertising in Section 5).

## 3. Information We Collect

### 3.1 Information You Enter (Stays on Your Device)

When you use the EMI calculator, you may enter:

- Principal loan amount

- Tenure (years and/or months)

- Rate of interest

- Principal repayment ratio

- Interest repayment ratio

**How this data is handled:**

- Processed locally in real-time for EMI calculations

- Never uploaded to any server

- Never stored permanently on your device

- Cleared when you close the app or enter new values

### 3.2 Device Identifiers and Advertising Data (Collected by Google AdMob)

We use **Google AdMob** to display advertisements in the App. AdMob automatically collects the following data types:

> **Important:** This data is collected by Google AdMob, not by us directly. The Advertising ID is a **user-resettable identifier** and is **not** a permanent hardware identifier (we do **not** collect IMEI, MAC address, or Android ID).

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time from your device settings (see Section 8).

### 3.3 Internet Permission

The App requires internet access solely for:

- Loading advertisements from Google AdMob

- Displaying the privacy policy (if you choose to open it in a browser)

## 4. How Your Data Is Used

## 5. Third-Party Services

### Google AdMob

We use **Google AdMob** to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use the following:

- **Advertising ID (AAID)** – A unique, user-resettable identifier for ad personalization

- **IP address** – For ad delivery and geographic targeting

- **Device information** – Model, OS version, screen size

- **Ad interaction data** – Which ads are viewed or clicked

**User Choice Regarding Ads:**

- You can reset your Advertising ID anytime in device settings: `Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID`

- You can opt out of personalized ads on the same settings page: `Opt out of Ads Personalization`

- EU/UK users will see a Google consent form asking permission before any ads are shown

### No Other Third-Party Services

The App does **not** use any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or other third-party services beyond Google AdMob.

## 6. Local Storage

The App stores **no user data permanently**. The Android operating system may cache some resources temporarily, but:

- No databases are created

- No SharedPreferences store your loan calculations

- No files are written to external storage

- Uninstalling the App removes all traces of App activity

## 7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The financial calculations and loan terminology are designed for adult users (employees and borrowers).

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the App, contact us immediately and we will investigate.

## 8. Your Rights and Choices

### 8.1 Opt Out of Personalized Ads

Navigate to: `Settings → Google → Ads` on your Android device

- Toggle **"Opt out of Ads Personalization"**

- Tap **"Reset advertising ID"**

### 8.2 Revoke Internet Permission

You can revoke the App's internet permission at any time via device settings. Note that:

- Advertisements will no longer load

- The EMI calculator will continue to work normally (calculations do not require internet)

### 8.3 Delete All App Data

Since the App stores nothing permanently, simply clearing the App's cache (`Settings → Apps → Staff Loan → Clear cache`) removes all temporary data. Uninstalling the App removes everything.

## 9. Data Security

We implement the following security measures:

## 11. Important Disclaimers

### 11.1 Loan Calculation Accuracy

The EMI calculations provided by this App are **estimates only**. The actual repayment amounts, interest calculations, and terms of your loan may differ based on your employer's specific policies. We recommend confirming all calculations with your employer's HR or finance department.

### 11.2 Rate of Interest and Ratios

As stated within the App: *For rate of interest and repayment ratios, kindly contact your HRM.* This App does not provide financial advice and assumes no liability for decisions made based on its calculations.

### 11.3 Employer-Specific Formulas

The App uses a specific calculation methodology (simple interest with separated principal and interest repayment periods, typically in ratios such as 3:1 or 2:1). This may not match every employer's exact method. Verify with your employer.

## 12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting within the App. We will notify you of material changes by:

- Displaying a notice within the App

- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for changes.

## 14. Consent

By using the App, you consent to:

- The collection of device identifiers (Advertising ID) for advertising purposes as described in Section 3.2 and Section 5

- The display of advertisements from Google AdMob

- The processing of your loan inputs locally on your device

You may withdraw consent for personalized ads at any time via device settings. Withdrawing consent does **not** affect the functionality of the EMI calculator.
