STAFF DOG/CAT PROGRAM 

Owners are Strongly Discouraged to apply or bring their dog/cat to Burning Man.

This is a program developed by the Burning Man Project's Department of Public Works (DPW) to offset the hardship of our long work and volunteer seasons away from home, expanded to include the Nevada Operations Team (NVO), FLY Ranch Ops and occasional other departments’ necessary exceptions.

This is not for fun.

This is a privilege that must be applied for year after year and takes a lot of personal control, dedication, responsibility and accountability.

Not everyone who applies receives a permit, and that permit may be revoked at any point throughout the seasons if misconduct occurs, rules are broken, or simply the situation has changed. This is a serious undertaking- your pets, your crew and the other members of the Program are counting on you.

If you feel your circumstances fall into this realm, talk to your Manager and see if applying for this permit is something right for you, your crew and your pet.
