Staezy — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Staezy mobile app ("Staezy", "we", "us") handles when you use it. Staezy is owned and operated by Seven Solutions Tech. By using Staezy, you agree to this policy.

 1.⁠ ⁠No account required

Staezy does not have sign-up, sign-in, or any user accounts. You can browse hostels, search by city or university, view listings, photos, reviews and contact details without creating an account or providing any personal information.

 2.⁠ ⁠Information we handle

a. Personal information. We do not collect or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or any other personally identifying information.

b. Location (optional). If you tap "Near me", the app asks for your device location permission and reads your current GPS coordinates locally on your device to sort hostels by distance from you. Your location is used in memory only — it is never sent to our servers, never stored on disk, and never shared with any third party. If you deny or revoke the permission, the app continues to work normally with manual city selection.

c. Saved favourites. When you tap the heart icon on a listing, only the hostel ID is saved on your device using local storage (Hive). Favourites never leave your device.

d. Contacting a hostel owner. When you tap the call or WhatsApp button on a listing, your device's own Phone or WhatsApp app opens with the hostel's number prefilled. Staezy does not place the call, send the message, or record who you contacted.

 3.⁠ ⁠Data sent to our backend

The Staezy app makes HTTPS requests to our own backend only to fetch public listing data: cities, universities, hostels, rooms, reviews and images. These requests do not include any personal identifier about you.

 4.⁠ ⁠Third-party services

Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org) under the Open Database License. We display the required attribution inside the map. OpenStreetMap's own privacy policy applies to tile requests.

No advertising, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, social login, or marketing SDKs are integrated in Staezy.

 5.⁠ ⁠Data sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent, or share user data with any third party. There is no personal data to sell — we don't collect any.

 6.⁠ ⁠Data security

All traffic between the Staezy app and our backend uses HTTPS. Because we do not store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data that could be exposed by a server breach.

 7.⁠ ⁠Children

Staezy is intended for adults and university students looking for accommodation, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

 8.⁠ ⁠Your choices

You can revoke the location permission anytime in your device's Settings → Apps → Staezy → Permissions.

You can clear saved favourites by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage from your device settings.

 9.⁠ ⁠Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
