In March of 1899, Albert and Maria Stäheli of Gübsenmoos, Straubenzell, St. Gallen, Switzerland left their home and traveled by ship to the United States with twelve of their children. Passing through Ellis Island they stayed for 3 years in Wisconsin before continuing their journey to Addy, Washington.

This site will be used to present documentation of the Staeheli's, to further explore the history of Staeheli's, to develop information about the Staeheli's currently living in the United States, to inform the latest generation of Staeheli's of their heritage and to help form connections among Staeheli's who have not yet met.
