By plane
Reach Venice or Trieste airport and take a direct train to Trieste train station. Trieste airport is actually Ronchi dei Legionari, in Monfalcone (~30min by direct train).
By bus or by train
Reach the Trieste train or bus stations (next to each other). Trieste is small town, you can reach the University main campus for example with buses 3,4,6,17/, 51 in less than 20min or by a short taxi ride (10-15 Eur).

Hotel Alla Posta on Piazza Oberdan, comfortable, not so far from the University but also in the city center
Residence Le Terrazze full apartment with kitchen behind Piazza Oberdan
Hotel Colombia a bit more expensive, also very close to Piazza Oberdan
AirBnb / Booking are also great choices in Trieste and allow for short rent apartments a little closer to Uni campus, possibly cheaper because outside of the city center
