STAAACK — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Applies to: STAAACK – Bookmarks & Idea Boards, All in One Space, v0.4.56
Publisher name: STAAACK
STAAACK was formerly known as STACKKK. This policy covers the STAAACK Chrome extension.
This notice explains what information STAAACK stores, where it is stored, and how it is used. STAAACK keeps the bookmarks, boards, notes and attachments you choose to save, along with your preferences, within your Chrome profile.
1. INFORMATION STAAACK STORES
1.1 My Library. For each bookmark you save, STAAACK stores the website address, page title, screenshot or uploaded cover image, notes, collections, favourite status, date saved, and the date you last opened the bookmark from STAAACK. STAAACK also stores your display and sound preferences.
1.2 Workspace. If you use Workspace, STAAACK also stores your boards and their names, notes (including formatted text, checklists, tables and text you choose to paste onto a board), card titles, references to saved bookmarks, attached images and PDF files, card positions and board views.
1.3 All of the information described in this section is stored locally in your browser profile. STAAACK handles clipboard content when you paste it into the extension; it does not continuously monitor your clipboard.
2. SCREENSHOTS
2.1 STAAACK does not take a screenshot when you paste or save a link. A screenshot is taken only when you request one.
2.2 Capture & save takes an image of the visible area of the current tab.
2.3 Card capture opens the selected website in a separate, unfocused Chrome window. That window must remain open and must not be minimised while the page loads.
2.4 A screenshot records whatever is visible on the page at the time of capture. This may include content from accounts you are signed in to, messages, personal information or cookie notices. Please review what is visible on a page before capturing it, particularly where the page may contain sensitive information.
3. BROWSER PERMISSIONS
3.1 activeTab. STAAACK uses Chrome’s activeTab permission when you open the extension to capture the page you are currently viewing.
3.2 Access to all websites (optional). Card capture requires access to all websites, because Chrome requires this permission to capture a page in a separate window. This permission is requested only if you enable card capture, and it is used only when you click a capture button.
3.3 You may revoke this permission at any time in Settings & help → Guides → Website thumbnails, using Revoke card capture access. Revoking it does not delete any saved bookmarks. Capture & save from the extension popup remains available without this permission.
4. STORAGE AND SECURITY
4.1 Your library, boards and attachments are stored locally in IndexedDB within your Chrome profile. Preferences, including appearance, sound, layout and toolbar position, are stored in localStorage. Whether an update notice has been shown and whether the welcome tour has been offered are recorded in a separate local IndexedDB database. Imports use temporary local database records until validation finishes. Exports use a temporary file in browser-managed local storage. These temporary records are cleaned up after use; interrupted import records are cleared when STAAACK next opens, and leftover export files older than a day are cleared on a later opening.
4.2 STAAACK does not sync your data to the cloud.
4.3 STAAACK does not add its own encryption or password protection. Anyone with access to your Chrome profile, or to a backup file you have exported, may be able to read its contents.
4.4 Browser storage space is limited. You should export a backup regularly and pay attention to any storage warnings.
5. NETWORK ACTIVITY
5.1 This version of STAAACK does not include analytics, advertising, cloud sync, a third-party screenshot service, or a server that receives your saved Library or Workspace content. STAAACK does not automatically send crash reports or diagnostic logs to the publisher.
5.2 STAAACK does not monitor your general browsing history. It stores the website addresses and titles you choose to save. When you open a bookmark through My Library, it records the date and time of its most recent opening to support the visited and not revisited filters. This information stays locally in your Chrome profile.
5.3 When you open or capture a website through STAAACK, your browser makes the usual requests to that website and its resources, using your existing Chrome session. Those websites are governed by their own privacy practices.
5.4 Optional support link. The “Buy me a coffee” button opens https://buymeacoffee.com/madebykeix in a new tab. STAAACK does not send your saved bookmarks, screenshots, notes, boards or attachments to Buy Me a Coffee. The external website makes its own normal browser requests, and information you provide there is subject to its privacy policy. STAAACK itself does not process payments or store payment details.
6. YOUR CONTROLS
6.1 Editing and deleting. You can edit or delete bookmarks in My Library.
6.2 Export. Export saves a JSON file containing your library and screenshots. You can save the file through the browser’s file-saving or download controls. The save location and prompts depend on the available browser features and settings. If you choose a cloud-synced folder or share the file, that service’s privacy practices apply. This file is not encrypted, and you should store it securely.
6.3 Import. Import reads the file you select or drop into the library, which may be a STAAACK backup or a bookmarks export from your browser.
6.4 Workspace backups. Workspace has separate Export Workspace and Import Workspace controls. A Workspace backup includes your boards, note content, attachments and deleted boards. Importing a Workspace backup adds copies of the backed-up boards. Workspace data is not sent to any server.
6.5 Removing cards and boards. Removing a card from a board does not delete the original bookmark in My Library. Deleted boards remain in Deleted boards until you permanently delete them there. Permanent deletion requires confirmation and cannot be undone. After a card is removed, its attachment data may remain in local storage, including after the current session ends. This supports undo during the session; unused attachments are not automatically cleared when you close STAAACK.
7. DATA RETENTION
7.1 Your data remains stored until you delete it or until the extension’s storage is removed, subject to the retained attachments and recovery copies described in sections 6.5, 7.3 and 7.4.
7.2 Uninstalling the extension clears its local storage. Exported backup files are not affected and must be deleted separately if you no longer want them.
7.3 Recovery copy. If you used an earlier version of STAAACK, a copy of your Library as it existed before the upgrade is retained locally for recovery purposes. This copy is a snapshot taken at the time of the upgrade and is not updated afterwards. It is not a current backup, and deleting an item from your current library does not remove it from this copy.
7.4 Captures that were pending in earlier versions of STAAACK may also remain in storage.
8. HOW YOUR DATA IS USED
8.1 Your data is used solely to save, display and organise the bookmarks, previews, boards, notes and attachments you choose to keep.
8.2 STAAACK does not sell your saved Library or Workspace data, use it for advertising, or send it to the publisher automatically. Information you voluntarily send through feedback or email is handled as described in sections 9 and 10.
8.3 Because your data is stored locally, the publisher cannot recover a library that has been lost.
8.4 STAAACK’s use of information received from Chrome and Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
9. OPTIONAL FEEDBACK
9.1 Submit Feedback in Settings & help → Backups & privacy opens a Google Form in a new tab. Feedback is voluntary. Your saved Library and Workspace content is not attached automatically.
9.2 Information you choose to submit, such as feedback, an optional reply email and screenshots, is shared with the publisher through Google’s services and used to respond to questions, investigate reported issues and improve STAAACK.
9.3 The feedback workflow uses Google Forms, a linked Google Sheet and Google Drive for uploaded screenshots. Google may require sign-in for file uploads and process account information under its own privacy practices. Review the form’s notices before submitting, and remove personal or sensitive information from screenshots.
9.4 Feedback retention: [Before publishing, insert the retention period you use for feedback responses, contact details and uploaded files.]
9.5 You can email hellostaaack@gmail.com to ask about feedback you submitted or request its deletion. The publisher cannot directly access or delete content stored only in your Chrome profile.
10. PUBLISHER AND CONTACT
Publisher name: STAAACK.
For STAAACK support or questions about this privacy notice, email hellostaaack@gmail.com.
If you send an email, its contents are processed by the email service to deliver and store the message and are used to respond to your request. Please do not send passwords, sensitive screenshots or full backup files.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in STAAACK or its data practices. The revised policy will show a new last-updated date. This policy does not describe any separate logs, cookies or analytics used by the website hosting this page.
