About Virtual Sports Day

Our Virtual Sports Day is a way for the pupils in St. Ita's National School to participate in Sports Day 2020. We have tried to include some of the activities that the children would have partaken in if they were in school. These activities incorporate several important skills whilst not neglecting the traditional activities associated with the Sports Day each year.

We hope that you have lots of fun partaking in the Virtual Sports Day! Here is some information that you might find useful when using this website:

In the 'What You Need' section you will find a music playlist, an equipment list and also a list of some treats to enjoy when celebrating your victories following the day!

In The Activities section you will find all of the exercises pertaining to each skill area. On each page you will see an overview of the skill area, an outline of the two activities that you could carry out and some videos that demonstrate the two activities further.

In the Downloads section you will find some written exercises that you could carry out when reflecting on the success of the day!

Please remember that this is only a guide. The most important thing is that you have lots of fun regardless of what activities you decide to do!! If possible try to include the whole family in your day. Finally, if you remember to take some photos or short videos (20-30 seconds) please send them to your teachers and we will make a short video that captures the fun that you had on the day! We wish you the best of luck and we will be looking forward to seeing how you get on!
