SUMMER 2026

We start rehearsing the programme for the summer concert at the end of April.

Music issued so far:

All things bright and beautiful (Rutter - in spring collection)
My heart will go on (Horner, love theme from 'Titanic')
The Humming Chorus (Puccini, from 'Madame Butterfly')
She's like the swallow (Canadian folk song)
You raise me up

Winter & Spring 2026

In January and February we continue to grow as a choir and enjoy making music together using this selection.

We will also start to look at a new Folk Mass by Drew Cantrill-Fenwick, commissioned for St George's Day.

Autumn 2025

To enable the choir to get used to singing together, we started by learning some of the local Christmas carols from the north of Sheffield.

These are taken from The Blue Book (featured on the BBC Boxing Day 2025 episode of The Repair Shop) published by Worrall Male Voice Choir Musical Grants Foundation. The fourth edition is available for purchase from the Choir Director for £15. All money raised from sales goes to support young musicians through the annual grant scheme.

We also learnt an arrangement, made especially for the choir, of the Carol of the Bells.
