Gospel of Mark
The Monday Night Study Group is now reading the Gospel of Mark. The first biography of Jesus, the Gospel of Mark portrays Jesus as the suffering son of God who died on the cross and became a ransom for sin. Yet, for Mark this “good news” (gospel) is not merely to be received with joy by Christ’s followers (though it certainly is joyous news), but must be lived out in imitation of his pattern of life. Mark’s gospel invites us to come and follow in the footsteps of Jesus’ cross-shaped life of suffering and sacrifice. We, the Monday Night Study Group of St. Andrew's invite you to come and join us in our study of Mark as we seek, together, to understand what it looks like to follow the cross-shaped Way of Jesus in our world today.
