A Vocation to serve Christ in others
Our Mission
To Live the Gospel message by serving Christ
in those in need with Love, Respect, Justice and Joy.
Our Values
The Mission of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul implies that as Vincentians we:
See Christ in anyone who suffers
Come Together as a family
Have personal contact with those in need
Help in all possible ways
In the early 1960s, our journey began not in an office, but in the driveways and living rooms of a few local friends who refused to look away at the struggles in our community, the words did not take longer to align with the 19th-century vision of Blessed Frederic Ozanam with the ideal to serve Christ with Love, Respect, Justice & Joy.
Later on this vision was formally established as a registered charity in Year 2013 under the name of Society of Saint Vincent de Paul All Saints Conference Strathroy ON.
Since those humble beginnings, our Vincentian volunteers have transformed this vision into a legacy of action. We have worked remarkably to:
Restore Dignity: Providing essential support to Strathroy members facing their most difficult moments.
Build Relationships: Moving beyond simple charity to offer true friendship and personal presence to our neighbours in need.
Foster Hope: Ensuring that no one in our community has to face their challenges alone.
Empower Lives: Turning the "driveway and living room" spirit into a structured network of compassion that continues to change lives every day.
Our Founders: We extend our deepest gratitude to our founding members.
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is operated out of The All Saints Roman Catholic Church. We are an independent agency of non-profit, charitable status. Entirely volunteer based.
Our Vincentian vocation is to support our neighbours in need, based on respect, love, and our relationship with others.
It is not about what we give but how we give it to others.
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in Strathroy is guided by a dedicated Board of Volunteers known as Vincentians who bring their professional skills and heartfelt compassion to serving our community.
