StudyPilot ("the app") is developed by Testpoint.com. This policy explains what the app does with information when you use it on your Android device.
If you have questions, contact us at mansooraliktk@gmail.com.
StudyPilot is built to work offline. Your study plan, focus sessions, flashcards and progress are stored on your device and are not uploaded to us. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address or phone number.
The app is free and supported by advertising. Our advertising partner collects certain device and usage information in order to serve and measure ads. That is the main way information leaves your device, and it is described in detail below.
The following is created by you as you use StudyPilot and is stored locally in the app's private storage:
Subjects, priorities and exam dates you enter
Your weekly timetable and individual study sessions
Focus session records, including duration and whether a session was completed
Flashcards you create or import, and their spaced-repetition scheduling data
Daily mood check-ins
Streaks, totals and other progress statistics
App settings such as theme, text size and reminder times
We do not have access to this information. It is not transmitted to our servers, because the app does not use our servers for this purpose.
Deleting it: uninstalling StudyPilot removes this data from your device. You can also clear it from within Android Settings, under Apps, by clearing the app's storage.
Exporting it: the app lets you export a backup file containing your data. Once you export that file, it is under your control and this policy no longer governs it. If you share it or store it in a cloud drive, the terms of that service apply.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or postal address.
We do not require or offer user accounts.
We do not read your calendar events. Calendar access is used only to write study sessions to a calendar you choose. The app does not read, store or transmit existing events.
We do not read the content of your notifications. The Do-Not-Disturb permission is used only to silence notifications for the length of a focus session, and it is released when the session ends.
We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
We do not track your precise location.
StudyPilot displays advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To serve, cap and measure ads, our advertising partner may collect and process:
Your device's advertising identifier (on Android, the Advertising ID)
IP address, and coarse location inferred from it
Device information such as model, operating system version, language and screen characteristics
Ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown, viewed or tapped
General app usage signals used for ad measurement and fraud prevention
This information is collected by our advertising partner under their privacy policy, not ours. For Google AdMob, see Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and the information at https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543 about how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
Personalised advertising and your choices. Where required by law, the app will ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can decline. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised. You can change this choice at any time from the app's settings screen, under privacy.
You can also limit ad tracking at the device level: open Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete or reset your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation entirely.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to understand crashes and general feature usage. This collects device model, operating system version, app version, a randomly generated installation identifier, and, in the case of a crash, a diagnostic stack trace. It does not include the content of your study plan or flashcards.
Notifications
To send study reminders and a nudge before each scheduled session.
Do-Not-Disturb access
To silence notifications for the duration of a focus session. Optional, and revocable at any time in Android settings.
Calendar (write)
To add your study sessions to a calendar you select. Optional. The app does not read your existing events.
Internet / network state
To load advertisements. The app's core features work without a connection.
Storage / file access
To save and load backup files when you use export or import.
Each optional permission can be refused, and the rest of the app will continue to work.
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
Consent — for personalised advertising, and for optional permissions such as calendar access and Do-Not-Disturb. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interests — for non-personalised advertising, basic ad measurement and fraud prevention, which are necessary to fund a free app.
Because we do not hold identifiable information about you on our own systems, we generally cannot locate, export or delete your data on your behalf. Data held by our advertising partner is subject to that partner's own request process, linked in Section 3.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising.
In practice:
Access and portability — use the in-app export function, which produces a complete copy of your data.
Deletion — uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android settings.
Targeted advertising opt-out — decline personalised ads in the app, or reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android settings as described in Section 3.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Depending on the definitions used in your state's law, the use of advertising identifiers for personalised advertising may be treated as "sharing" or as "targeted advertising", and the opt-out above is how you exercise that right.
To make a request or ask a question, contact mansooraliktk@gmail.com. If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
StudyPilot is intended for students aged [MINIMUM AGE — e.g. 13] and above, and is not directed at children under that age.
[IF YOUR PLAY CONSOLE TARGET AUDIENCE INCLUDES CHILDREN UNDER 13, THIS SECTION MUST BE REWRITTEN AND YOUR AD SETUP MUST COMPLY WITH GOOGLE PLAY'S FAMILIES POLICY AND, WHERE APPLICABLE, COPPA. GET ADVICE BEFORE PUBLISHING.]
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at mansooraliktk@gmail.com and we will act on it.
We do not transfer your study data anywhere, because it stays on your device. Our advertising partner operates internationally and may process the information described in Section 3 on servers outside your country, under the safeguards described in its own privacy policy.
Data you create stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We do not hold copies. Retention of advertising data is determined by our advertising partner and set out in its policy.
Your study data is held in the app's private storage area, which on Android is not readable by other apps on a non-rooted device. Backup files you export are ordinary files, and their security depends on where you choose to store them. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top.
