SstarSoft ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Android application, Bluetooth Monitor Widget ("the Application"), handles your information.

1. Overview: Zero Personal Data Collection

Bluetooth Monitor Widget does not collect, transmit, store on external servers, or sell any personal data.

The Application functions entirely locally on your Android device. We do not use third-party analytics platforms, user tracking frameworks, or advertising networks.

2. Permissions and How They Are Used

To provide home screen widget updates and battery alerts, the Application requests specific system permissions. All processing occurs locally on your device:

Nearby Devices & Bluetooth Permissions (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, BLUETOOTH, BLUETOOTH_ADMIN):

Used exclusively to identify connected Bluetooth peripherals, read device names, retrieve battery percentages, and update the home screen widget. No Bluetooth metadata or device identifiers are ever transmitted over the Internet.

Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CONNECTED_DEVICE):

Used to maintain an active background monitor so that widget information and battery indicators remain accurate and timely when devices connect or disconnect.

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS):

Used to display background monitor notifications and trigger optional user-configured battery threshold alerts (Warning / Critical levels).

Vibration (VIBRATE):

Used to deliver haptic feedback for user-configured low-battery notifications.

Battery Optimization Exemption (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS):

Requested solely to allow continuous background updates and prevent the Android operating system from pausing widget refreshes during Doze mode.

Run at Startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED):

Used to automatically re-initialize the widget and background monitoring service after your device restarts.

3. In-App Purchases and Billing

The Application offers optional digital purchases (PRO License and Developer Support Tips) via the official Google Play In-App Billing library:

All financial transactions and payment data (such as credit card numbers and billing addresses) are handled directly and securely by Google Play.

SstarSoft does not collect, receive, or store any payment or financial information.

Google Play provides us only with anonymous purchase state confirmation tokens to unlock PRO features locally on your device.

4. Local Data Storage

All user preferences (including custom battery thresholds, selected themes, language preferences, and excluded device identifiers) are stored strictly locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences.

This data is never sent to any external server and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the Application or clear its app data.

5. Third-Party Services

The Application utilizes the following third-party service:

Google Play Services / Google Play In-App Billing: To facilitate secure in-app purchases and license verification.

6. Children's Privacy

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
