Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (SSPO), situated within the esteemed Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, proudly holds the distinction of being recognized as an International Society for Prosthetics & Orthotics (ISPO) Category 1 School. Upon completion of their studies, graduates emerge equipped to excel within the prosthetics and orthotics field, possessing not only practical skills but also the capacity to engage in impactful research aimed at advancing the health and well-being of individuals with disabilities in society.

Throughout their educational journey, students at SSPO gain invaluable experience in research methodology, resource utilization, and deepen their understanding of specific areas within prosthetics and orthotics through the study of pertinent textbooks and research literature. Furthermore, the program serves as a catalyst for fostering future research endeavors, offering students opportunities to embark on additional projects post-graduation or in subsequent academic pursuits.

With more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and international conference proceedings indexed in Scopus and PubMed, our staff and student researchers are committed to academic excellence, research innovation, and evidence-based practice. We aim to translate this clinical evidence into new knowledge and innovative solutions that enhance mobility and quality of life.
