The primary goal of physical education is to assist students in the development of skills and knowledge of movement that will help develop a life of physical activity with a focus on cooperative play, sportsmanship, and leadership skills in a safe environment.
Activities for Grades TK-2nd
will help the students develop their basic movement skills, such as balance, agility and coordination. We will do this while focusing on cooperative play, sportsmanship and having fun.
Activities for Grades 3-4
will emphasize skills and team building. Activities may include soccer, flag football, volleyball, golf, and basketball.
Activities for Grades 5-8
will emphasize skills, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Activities may include volleyball, basketball, pickle ball, sky ball, fitness activities, and other team activities. Middle school may run/walk the mile for time.
Curriculum
A variety of activities will be introduced which will provide opportunities for students to improve on and learn new skills—some individual and some team activities. Movement, games, fitness activities, and team building activities will be included. Cooperation with classmates is expected.
