The George Eastman Museum the estate of George Eastman, the pioneer of popular photography and motion picture film. Founded in 1947 as an independent nonprofit institution, it is the world’s oldest photography museum and one of the oldest film archives. The museum holds unparalleled collections—encompassing several million objects—in the fields of photography, cinema, and photographic and cinematographic technology, and photographically illustrated books. The institution is also a longtime leader in film preservation and photographic conservation.

Mount Hope is more than a cemetery. It's a peaceful park, a wildlife sanctuary, and an outdoor museum.
Many visitors visit Mount Hope each year to visit the graves of notable individuals interred here, attend events, participate in guided tours conducted by the Friends of Mount Hope Cemetery, take photographs of the grounds, bird watch, or simply stroll through the natural landscape and relax. The cemetery is an active burial place and continues to perform burials almost daily.
*Please note that Mount Hope Cemetery is a natural terrain. Paths are often unpaved and not always handicap accessible.

A visit to the Memorial Art Gallery is a journey through more than 5,000 years of art history. From the relics of antiquity to works in the vanguard of contemporary practice, MAG offers a panorama of the world’s art. Our 14-acre campus is a spectacular public art space that is a popular destination for Rochesterians and out-of-town visitors alike.
MAG’s permanent collection of more than 12,000 objects has been called “the best balanced in the state outside of metropolitan New York City.” In addition to its collection, the museum offers a year-round schedule of temporary exhibitions, lectures, concerts, tours, and family activities.
Lamberton Conservatory & Highland Park
Enjoy the beautiful landscape in all seasons. Stroll the hills and valleys, groves and gardens – Highland Park is free and open to all.
Originally constructed in 1911, the Lamberton Conservatory was named in honor of Alexander B. Lamberton who was the President of the Parks Board from 1902 to 1915. Already a nationally renowned arboretum designed by Frederic Law Olmsted, Highland Park’s horticultural status was certainly heightened by its construction.
Genesee Country Village & Museum
Genesee Country Village & Museum was founded in 1966 with the goal of preserving the architecture of the Genesee Valley region in a recreated historic village, providing context for the telling of New York State and 19th-century American history. The Museum now covers 600 acres and includes the Historic Village, the John L. Wehle Gallery, and the Genesee Country Nature Center, all of which provide interactive programs, fascinating exhibits, and special events to help you live and experience history. GCV&M is the largest and most comprehensive living history museum in New York State – and the third-largest in the United States.
Susan B. Anthony House
Susan B. Anthony House, in Rochester, New York, was the home of Susan B. Anthony for forty years, while she was a national figure in the women's rights movement. She was arrested in the front parlor after voting in the 1872 Presidential Election. She resided here until her death
