Dear 2020 NYLA/SSL Conference Attendees,
NYLA/SSL Conference and Coronavirus:
We wanted you to be among the first to hear the news. We are grateful to you for registering for the conference and know that you share in our disappointment that we will not be meeting this spring. I deeply regret to inform you that we have had to cancel the NYLA/SSL conference scheduled for May 28-30, 2020, at the Turning Stone Resort and Conference Center in Verona, New York. The current situation in New York and much of the rest of the country has made it impossible for us to hold this conference.
Please cancel any travel plans. All Turning Stone hotel reservations made under the NYLA/SSL block will automatically be canceled. If you have already paid the conference registration fee, you have two options:
If you have paid the registration fee, you can request any of these options by sending an email to membership@nyla.org and informing NYLA’s Executive Director Jeremy Johannesen of your choice. As you know, NYLA/SSL will be going to Binghamton for our May 2021 conference, and we look forward to seeing you there.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the NYLA Section of School Librarians.
