1. A small "Skip" during a throwing action is permitted, where the feet hit the floor no more than four times.
2. The stone must hit the water at least three times to be legal.
3. If the stone leaves the designated lane, the distance is measured to the point at which the stone leaves the lane. If a stone leaves and re-enters the lane, it is measured to where the stone sinks as in rule 5.
4. No part of the thrower's body may touch the water after the throw.
5. The distance of the throw is to be measured to where the stone is finally submerged in the water and sinks.
