Bio: I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Networking Intelligence Lab, Kyung Hee University, South Korea, under the supervision of Prof. Choong Seon Hong on advanced wireless technologies. Awarded a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Pakistan, in August 2017. Subsequently, I completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Engineering at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea, in February 2024.
My research focuses on network resource management, satellite access networks, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and future communication systems (beyond 5G/6G). I am particularly interested in the potential of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), simultaneous transmitting and reflecting RIS (STAR-RIS), integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), and semantic communication (SC) for network optimization. My current research aims to develop Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs) leveraging drones, balloons, and satellites to achieve ubiquitous internet access and bridge the digital divide. Employing optimization, game theory, and machine learning techniques, they address key challenges in realizing this vision.
