• SSC MTS paper 1 date – August 2 to September 6, 2019

• SSC MTS paper 1 result – in the last week of September

Aspirants should know full details regarding the SSC MTS syllabus 2019. This exam will be held in two tiers. Tier 1 is objective type and tier 2 is a descriptive paper. Candidates are advised to go through the below points to know the syllabus of the exam.

Preparation tips

  • Candidates have more than enough time to get their names into the merit list. All you need is to prepare for the exam with the right strategy. Below mentioned are some preparation tips for SSC MTS 2019.
  • First candidates should go through the SSC MTS syllabus 2019 and start their preparation with focussing on the weak parts.
  • Make a habit of reading the newspaper (English/Hindi depends on medium) daily. It will keep you update with current affairs and also increase your reading/writing skills which will be useful for the exam.
  • Give each subject equal importance.
  • Do not take stress for the exam.

Exam pattern

In the question paper, there are 4 sections. Each section has 25 questions and for every correct answer, students will be awarded 1 mark. Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Paper II is of qualifying type and will only test candidates basic elementary skills. It will consist of 50 marks. Only those candidates who qualified the paper I will be eligible to write Paper II.

Tier 1

• No of section – 4

• Total time for general candidates – 90 minutes

• Duration for physically handicapped students – 120 minutes

Tier 2

Short Essay/Letter in English or any language included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution of 50 marks which should be written in 30 minutes for general candidates and 40 minutes for physically handicapped students.
