TL;DR — This is what you need to know.
We can't begin your order until you've paid in full.
Some orders may be subject to additional fees.
All sales are final and nonrefundable.
(Once we receive your payment, you won't be able to ask for a refund anymore.)
The artwork you receive from us is only for your own personal use.
This is our work. We'll always have the right to use it however we want.
(i.e. to advertise our commissions, show it off in our portfolio, etc.)
You're absolutely welcome to post any of the art we make for you on your social media page(s). Just don't forget to properly credit us for our work.
(And, of course, you should also be exercising this practice with other people that you commission. Not just with us. Crediting artists is very important!)
You agree not to claim our work as your own.
(In other words, don't plagiarize. Don't steal.)
You may only request direct updates on your order every 2½ (two and a half) weeks.
(To get updates on your order more frequently than 2½ weeks, please access your order's unique Order Status page on the Queue. More info about our Order Update Policy is on our full Terms of Service.)
We reserve the right to refuse service and cancel a commission.
(We will, of course, send you a full refund if you've paid anything.)
To view your art, you'll need a device that is capable of opening high-resolution video and image files.
And just as a courtesy for the artists behind this project, please maintain some level of etiquette when contacting us.
(Likewise, we'll do the same for you.)
It's okay to be picky! But that's not an excuse to be demeaning or inconsiderate.
(These commissions offer an extremely high amount of customizability, so we understand that clients may want to get picky down to even the littlest of details. But don't forget that these commissions require a really large amount of effort and time for us. Pickiness is not an excuse to be demeaning or inconsiderate when talking to us—and this applies to you with anyone you commission, not just with us.)
We have strict policies regarding the use of our artwork for anything related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and NFTs.
You can't create NFTs using our artwork.
You are prohibited from training any Artificial Intelligence (AI)- / Machine Learning (ML)-enhanced image generation models using our artwork.
Obviously, this isn't everything, but it should be sufficient enough of a summary for those who want a quick read. More details can be found in the full agreement.
Just remember that the TL;DR above is nothing more than a summary of our Terms of Service solely for your reading convenience. The summary is not your actual Terms of Service agreement, nor is it intended to be a replacement for said agreement. We still encourage everyone to read the full Terms of Service agreement that is linked at the top of the page (and not just the summary underneath it), as we still expect you to acknowledge and agree to everything on that full agreement upon commissioning us—regardless of whether or not you actually read it. If complications come up, we'll ultimately have the final say, that of which will almost always be influenced by the content in our Terms of Service.
By commissioning us, you are always agreeing to the full Terms of Service agreement (linked at the top of the page) and are also acknowledging that you are always agreeing to said full agreement when placing an order—not just to the summary immediately above.
And don't forget: you're not alone in this. While working with you, we promise to do our best on our part to adequately communicate with you and to deliver the best-quality work that we can possibly make. If we can't do something or something comes up in the middle of your order, we'll always do our best to be honest and transparent with you about what's going on. Needless to say, this is supposed to be a fair, ethical, and safe environment for both you and the artists you'll be working with, and, ideally, it should always be this way with anyone that you talk to and work with—not just with us! :)
At the end of the day, we're just making cool artwork for SSBU fans. As long as you communicate with us clearly, there shouldn't be any problems. We're reasonable people, and we're not trying to make things hard for you, so don't overthink our ToS! 🤝
