HOW TO GET TO VENICE FROM AIRPORT

The best option is the boat service ALILAGUNA. There are three lines. The one that bring you closer to the venue (Ca' Tron) is the Orange Line with disembarking at San Stae

For those who are interested we are meeting for an informal gathering on Thursday at 18:00 at Bacari (local "tapas" bars) near Rialto. There are several of them close to each other. We can meet at Bacaro Al Mercà

FRIDAY 19/6/26 lunch: Osteria La Zucca (only for Full Registration)

The lunch at the day of the workshop will be at Osteria La Zucca, which is 3min walk from the venue. The lunch is a-la-carte and there are also vegetarian options.

FRIDAY 19/6/26 dinner: Osteria Contemporanea Venissa (only for Full Registration)

The dinner will be at the lovely Osteria Contemporanea Venissa located in the iconic island of Mazzorbo. It is a fixed menu dinner but we can accomodate vegetarian or food allergy requests. We are getting there by boat (1 hour). The embarking dock is located near the train station which is about 20min walk from the venue (use "Venice Santa Lucia Pier" in GoogleMaps) . The departure time is 18:00. We will return at the same dock around midnight.

Getting around Venice

Venice can be challenging to navigate: the city is often crowded with tourists, the streets are narrow and intricate, and GPS is not always reliable. We recommend exploring the city on foot, although you can also use the vaporetti, Venice’s local water buses.

Be aware that vaporetti can become very crowded, especially during peak hours, so some waiting time should be expected. However, this is also part of Venice’s charm: getting lost in the Venetian maze can unexpectedly lead you to wonderful hidden places.

Alternatively, you may take Vaporetto Line 1, which stops at every station along the Grand Canal, offering a slow and scenic journey through the heart of the city.
