At PROPOR 2026
The Third Student Research Workshop (SRW 2026) will take place as part of PROPOR 2026 in Salvador, Brazil. The workshop is dedicated to providing an accessible, supportive, and high-quality forum for undergraduate, master’s, and early-stage PhD students to present and discuss their research in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and related areas.
Building on the success of previous editions held at PROPOR 2016 (Tomar) and PROPOR 2018 (Canela), SRW 2026 aims to foster the next generation of researchers, with a special focus on strengthening student participation from Brazil and historically underrepresented regions, particularly the Northeast.
Why Attend SRW 2026?
The rapid expansion of NLP research — driven by Large Language Models, Multimodal systems, and Widespread real-world applications — has significantly increased competition at major conferences. SRW 2026 addresses this challenge by offering a constructive and inclusive environment where students can:
Present early-stage or exploratory research
Receive meaningful feedback from experienced researchers
Gain visibility within the PROPOR community
Build academic confidence and professional networks
