Наша српска школа
Школа је под покровитељством Бедфордске парохије Св.Андреја и уз подршку Министарства просвете, науке и технолошког развоја Србије који обезбеђује квалификованог наставника. Циљ школе је да се деца од 6+ година уче српском језику, култури, историји и православном хришћанствy. Настава се изводи на српском језику, уз додатну подршку за оне који тек почињу да уче језик.
Настава се одвија суботом од 1.00 до 3.00 у Црквеном Дому и деца добијају књиге, материјале и грицкалице. Постоји група за млађу децу и оне који не говоре српски; и друга група за старију/напреднију децу.
Од родитеља се очекује да волонтирају 2 или 3 пута годишње. Родитељи доприносе трошковима школе, плаћајући £40 за прво дете и £20 за свако додатно дете. Сваке суботе имамо 18--22 деце.
Our School
The school is under the auspices of the Bedford Parish of St. Andrew and supported by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science & Technological Development, which provides a qualified teacher. The school aims to teach children from age 6+ Serbian language, culture, history and Orthodox Christianity. Lessons are conducted in Serbian, with additional support for those who are just starting with the language.
Classes take place on Saturdays from 1.00 till 3.00 at the Church Dom and children are provided with books, materials and snacks. There is a class for younger children / those who don’t speak Serbian; and another class for older / more advanced children.
Parents are asked to volunteer for 2 or 3 school sessions during the year. To support the running costs of the school and purchase additional equipment, parents pay £40 for the first child, then £20 for each additional child. We have about 18-22 children attend each Saturday.
