PGY1: 20 wks FM; 4 wks each elective, pediatrics, emergency medicine, OB/GYN, general surgery, medicine, palliative care, medicine selective.
PGY2: 10-12 months FM; 8 weeks elective(s); max 4 half-days/wk longitudinal electives (choices include ED, fracture clinics, endocrine/IM clinics, psychiatry, child mental health, ophthalmology, anesthesia, ENT, FM obstetrics, & allied health professionals).[2]
Unique features:
Annual Obstetrical Skills Day in November for PGY1 residents.
Preceptors are highly involved in hospital care as MRP for 65 medicine patients, 60 rehab and continuing care patients, intrapartum obstetrical care with shared on-call for GP obstetrics, and coverage for a busy emergency department.[2]
