Transcript:
Previously, before the implementation of infrastructure, lay a forest where there was neither colonization nor population. Instead, patches of green scattered on uneven terrain and leaves sprouted from towering brown trunks.
Within this forest stood a tree most significant, a tree that soared over others, and a tree known to all.
Despite the proliferation of establishments in Karakura, this tree remained unchanged.
The Karakura workers were physically incapable of cutting down the tree because of its massive length, so no attempt had been made to remove it. In 2017, a college building was situated with a roundabout that orbited the tree.
However, soon after, the college would be demolished and merged with the high school.
In the aftermath of the deconstruction of the college campus, another area surrounded the tree, but the roundabout remained. The Karakura shopping district was built while still encircling the towering tree.
For a while, the tree served as an iconic attraction beloved by all. It was, however, a group of unknown individuals who would soon burn the tree down, leaving only the distraught aftermath of ashes.
Today, this tree was replanted in the same relative location. Though it may not be the same majestic tree the inhabitants of Karakura all remember, it would be a new tree for new memories to come.
