JalVishwa is the first of its kind, a multi-criteria decision support tool for the selection of an appropriate wastewater treatment technology. This tool has an integrated module for computing life cycle costs of sewage treatment technologies. 

Usage of this freely available tool can aid the urban local bodies in implementing national schemes such as the Swacchha Bharat Mission, Jal Jeevan Mission, and AMRUT 2.0 and accordingly plan for fund allocation. The tool can be used by urban local bodies, planners, practitioners and researchers
