Welcome to my site. I am the Eli Broad Endowed Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Broad College of Business, Michigan State University (MSU) in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Department. I am also the Founding Academic Director of the Center for Ethical and Socially Responsible Leadership at the Broad College of Business, Michigan State University, and serve in the Board of Directors at the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center.
I earned my PhD. in Operations, Technology, and Innovation Management at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Prior to PhD, I have an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Delhi College of Engineering (Now Delhi Technological University) and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
I have worked in the Automotive Industry prior to my MBA at Maruti Udyog Limited (Now Maruti Suzuki India) as a Purchase Executive. My role blended technical and business side of sourcing fasteners, and localizing products with Indian vendors. I interned for Tata Motors in their Jamshedpur Truck Manufacturing Facility (now Jharkhand, India), and Indian Airlines in New Delhi at their Aircraft Maintenance Facility.
Post MBA, I worked for HCL Technologies Limited in Project Management and Business Development Roles. My role involved managing an Engineering Team that worked with Cisco Systems, in addition to business development/pre-sales roles and working with leadership to lead many internal project efforts.
