Nature of duties and achievements are,

  1. Conceptualizing, planning, managing, coordinating, and monitoring multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary development programmes for sustainable development of the hitherto marginalized and deprived people and regions across the country in partnership with national and international development agencies through innovative and ‘Out-of-Box’ development solutions

  2. Provide leadership, network and communicate, build and lead a team of development professionals. Build, nurture, inspire, lead and support multi-disciplinary teams of young professionals

  3. Consolidate ongoing CSR activities of REC Limited and design a development strategy and prepare a perspective programme pipeline for the next five-year period in close coordination and collaboration with other public and private sector corporations, civil society organisations, national and international development organisations and ensure effective and impact-focused implementation of the programme

  4. Resource mobilization for development financing

Major achievements till now are -

  1. Currently managing a portfolio of about 130 projects with a total budget of Rs 400 Cr. In last 28 months, I closed about 50 projects. I facilitated sanction of nearly 100 projects

  2. Achieved Sanction and disbursement higher than all previous years FY 2019-20 of REC CSR to Rs 282 Cr, and Rs 258 Cr respectively. In last 28 months, I facilitated sanction of 50% (581 Cr) and disburse 50% (460 Cr) of the last 10 years of REC CSR

  3. Identified and supported many innovative interventions – solar roof mobile bus for educating migrant workers children, non-contact ticket verification app for ticket collectors of Mumbai Central Railways to safeguard TCs from contacting COVID, technology incubation to nurture young innovators - 5000 students and about 500 teachers through IIT Kanpur and T Hub

  4. Led compliance to GOIs CSR Act 2014, REC CSR Policy 2017; Parliamentary Subcommittee, Department of Public Enterprises, NITI Aayog, Right to Information, etc.

  5. Contributed to improving Delta index of Health, Nutrition and School Education by co-designing appropriate interventions of 7 nos. of aspirational districts identified for REC CSR support. For example, Mamit in the state of Mizoram made a quantum jump from a ranking of 84 to 2 in one year.

  6. Contributed to REC COVID response by coordinating with 20 regional offices for relief by means of ration, meals and safety items during lockdown for stranded workers in 35 districts. Non- contact verification of railway tickets app we supported was a novelty to Mumbai Central Railway, which perhaps won us SKOTCH Award Gold Category for COVID response. I also coordinated approval, procurement, inspection and delivery of Cold Chain Equipment to the state of West Bengal, UTs of Nagaland and Dadra & Nagar Haveli to store COVID Vaccines in record time of 50 plus days by following all government process.

  7. Strengthened implementation arrangements for timeline and quality by empaneling 25 reputed agencies and empaneling 12 reputed agencies to do due diligence of proposals, concurrent monitoring and impact assessment.

  8. Strengthened RECCSR presence on social media and internet (i) Website (ii) Twitter handle @FoundationREC and (iii) Facebook.

  9. Pitched and received many Awards for REC Foundation

  10. Strengthened the team to 15 staff vis-à-vis just 5 members when I joined, 28 months ago. Guided 7 nos. of REC Interns. Initiated REC Foundation learning sessions and conducted 21 sessions by expert speakers, project partners for synergy among project partners, inform REC Limited stakeholders of development activities REC CSR has been doing

  11. Developed a ‘White Paper’ outlining, governance & organizational structure, Operational and management arrangements and a five-year plan for REC Foundation

  12. Published brochure of REC CSR activities, contributed to ‘CSR Goodbook India liveweek’, contributed to an Article of UNFPA work appeared on ‘Down to Earth’ magazine published by Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi and participated as Panelist, key speaker in many events, conferences, webinars
