I am a postdoc in the Biodiversity theory team at the HIFMB Oldenburg, Germany since September 2024. I am an Applied Mathematician by training with a research focus on theoretical ecology. My current research emphasizes on understanding the role of spatial connectivity in sustaining population across spatial and temporal scales. My work integrates mathematical modeling, computer simulations and statistical methods to gain deeper insights into the dynamics of ecological systems. Before moving to Germany, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Ecology and Evolution at The University of Chicago for two years (2022- 2024) where I worked with Stefano Allesina to understand the coexistence and stability of species-rich ecological communities. Prior to this, I did my Ph.D. (2022) in the Physics and Applied Mathematics Unit (PAMU) of Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata under the supervision of Dr. Dibakar Ghosh. My research interest broadly focuses to understand the species interaction in ecological networks utilizing mathematical and computational tools. I am also interested in studying the evolutionary dynamics of social dilemmas and emerging collective phenomena in complex dynamical systems. I obtained my Bachelor's degree (2013) in Mathematics from Vidyasagar University, India and also Master's degree (2015) in Mathematics from NIT Durgapur, India.
