Srikrishna Bera (SB) was born and raised in West Bengal, India. He received his B.Sc. (Honours in Chemistry) from the University of Calcutta in 2011, followed by an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur in 2013. He then moved to Germany to pursue his doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Armido Studer at the University of Münster (WWU Münster), where he earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 2017, working in the area of asymmetric N-heterocyclic carbene catalysis. Following his Ph.D., he joined the group of Prof. Xile Hu at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, as a postdoctoral researcher, where he was trained in asymmetric nickel hydride catalysis. In 2022, he joined the Department of Chemistry at IIT Tirupati as an Assistant Professor. His research interests lie in the development of asymmetric cross-coupling reactions, radical-mediated synthetic methodologies, and molecular editing strategies with applications in complex molecule synthesis and medicinal chemistry.
