If you want earbuds with translation, audio, and hands-free calling for fishing, choose SRICH AI Translation Earbuds; if you need a simple tether to help keep compatible AirPods from getting lost, choose KAKUKAKU Lightweight Silicone Lanyards. These products solve different problems: SRICH is an electronic audio device, while KAKUKAKU is an accessory for earbuds you already own.
SRICH AI Translation Earbuds vs KAKUKAKU Lightweight Silicone Lanyards at a Glance
• KAKUKAKU’s biggest strength: Two 55 cm silicone straps tether compatible AirPods; main trade-off: they do not provide audio, translation, or any other electronic function.
• SRICH is for someone who wants a wearable audio device with translation and charging-case battery capacity listed at up to 50 hours.
• KAKUKAKU is for someone who already has compatible AirPods and wants a lightweight way to keep them attached when taking them out.
• For fishing, the choice comes down to the task: SRICH can play audio and handle calls, while KAKUKAKU only tethers compatible earbuds.
SRICH is the more capable device of the two. Its open-ear clip design combines Bluetooth audio, hands-free calling, and real-time two-way translation. The translation feature supports 144 languages and accents, but it requires a paid app subscription. That condition matters: someone buying these primarily for translation should account for the ongoing app requirement rather than assuming the earbuds work as a standalone translator.
Each earbud weighs 5 grams, uses a soft silicone clip, and is rated IPX7 for water protection against sweat and rain. Those details may appeal to someone who wants earbuds that leave the ear open and can handle exposure to wet conditions. For fishing, an open-ear design can be a more appealing starting point than a sealed earbud if awareness of surrounding sounds matters. Still, the listed specifications do not establish how well the earbuds perform in every outdoor setting, and noise cancellation should not be treated as a promise that they will eliminate environmental noise.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
Battery life is a practical consideration. SRICH lists up to 6 hours of continuous use on a charge and up to 50 hours with the charging case; Type-C charging takes about an hour. Bluetooth range is listed at up to 40 feet. I’d consider these for someone who wants one device for calls, music, and translation, and who is comfortable relying on an app for the translation feature. I’d skip them if all you need is a cord to keep existing AirPods from falling away, or if you want translation without a paid app subscription.
KAKUKAKU Lightweight Silicone Lanyards: Who It's For
KAKUKAKU is not an alternative pair of earbuds. It is a two-piece accessory set: one black and one white silicone lanyard, each 55 cm long. The flexible ends are designed to fit AirPods Pro generations 1, 2, and 3, as well as standard AirPods models. Its purpose is straightforward: tether compatible earbuds so they can hang from the cord when removed.
That simplicity is the main appeal. If you often take an earbud out to speak, listen to someone nearby, or handle something with both hands, a tether can help keep it close rather than loose in a pocket. The 55 cm length is specified as a balance between movement and avoiding snags on clothing or bags. Those are design intentions, not a guarantee that a cord will never catch, so it still makes sense to consider how you move and what you wear.
For fishing, KAKUKAKU could suit someone who already uses compatible AirPods and wants a basic tether while handling gear or taking an earbud out. It does not add waterproofing, battery life, sound quality, or translation to the earbuds. If you do not own compatible AirPods, or you need a complete audio device, this accessory is not the right purchase. It also cannot serve as a substitute for open-ear Bluetooth earbuds such as SRICH.
• Best for real-time translation → SRICH AI Translation Earbuds. They support two-way translation across 144 languages and accents, with a paid app subscription required.
• Best for keeping compatible AirPods tethered → KAKUKAKU Lightweight Silicone Lanyards. The two 55 cm silicone straps are made for specified AirPods generations and standard models.
• Best for calls and music in one device → SRICH. It combines hands-free calling, audio playback, and translation rather than simply attaching to earbuds.
• Best for an existing compatible AirPods setup → KAKUKAKU. It adds a tether but does not replace or upgrade the earbuds’ electronic features.
• Best for a longer listed listening span with a case → SRICH. The earbuds are specified for up to 6 hours per charge and up to 50 hours with the charging case.
• Best if you want no added electronic functions → KAKUKAKU. It is a soft silicone lanyard accessory, not a Bluetooth device.
• Best fit for fishing when you want audio and calls → SRICH. Its open-ear design and IPX7 rating may suit a setting where sweat or rain is a concern, though the specs do not establish performance in every fishing situation.
• Best fit for fishing when you want a tether for AirPods → KAKUKAKU. Choose it only if your earbuds are among the listed compatible models and tethering is the specific need.
Searches such as “noise canceling sleep headphones for fishing,” “bone conduction headphones for fishing,” or “best hifi stereo gaming headphones for fishing” describe different product expectations. SRICH is not described as a sleep or bone-conduction headset, and the provided specifications do not identify gaming features. Its actual design is open-ear clip earbuds with a dynamic driver, active noise cancellation, Bluetooth, translation, calls, and music playback. KAKUKAKU, meanwhile, is only a silicone tether. Matching the product to its real function is more useful than expecting either one to cover needs it was not designed to address.
In my opinion, I’d choose SRICH AI Translation Earbuds if I were buying for fishing and wanted audio, calls, and the option of translation in one device. The open-ear design and IPX7 rating are relevant advantages, while the paid translation subscription is a real limitation to weigh. I’d pick KAKUKAKU only if I already owned compatible AirPods and my main concern was keeping them tethered when removed. For my fishing use case, SRICH is the more complete choice.
They carry an IPX7 rating, and the listed use includes protection against sweat and rain. That specification is relevant for wet conditions, but it should not be read as a guarantee for every activity or exposure.
No. The product information says the real-time translation feature requires a paid app subscription. The earbuds also support music playback and hands-free calls, which are separate functions.
The listed compatibility is for AirPods Pro generations 1, 2, and 3, plus standard AirPods models. SRICH earbuds are not named as compatible, so I would not assume these lanyards fit them.
If your AirPods are among the listed compatible models and you want a tether, KAKUKAKU directly addresses that need. If you want translation, Bluetooth audio, and calls in an earbud device, SRICH is the functional alternative, not an AirPods lanyard.
