Plug a VGA cable into the VGA projector drop and connect the other end to the VGA to display adapter.
Plug the VGA to display adapter into one of the display ports on the desktop.
Confirm that the projector is plugged into an electrical outlet and powers on.
Plug the monitor into the VGA cable (may be other type of connection, but similar style) and connect the other end to the VGA to display adapter (if you have a different type of connection, it may plug directly in to the back of the computer).
You may have a VGA splitter, in which case you will connect both the project and monitor to the splitter and then plug the splitter into the VGA outlet on the desktop.
Plug the power cable into the monitor on the back/underside of the monitor and plug the monitor into an electrical outlet.
Plug the power cable for the desktop into an electrical outlet and press the power button on the front side of the desktop.
PRO TIP : Think of the desktop as a puzzle, certain plugs will only fit in the place they are intended. If you have several places on a the desktop that accommodate display options, keep trying until you get it right!
