Asymmetric Catalysis Design Center (ACDC) is dedicated to advancing the frontiers of asymmetric organic synthesis through the rational design of new chiral catalytic reaction systems. By integrating expertise in chiral organocatalysis, chiral metal catalysis, reagent development, high-throughput experimentation (HTE), and machine learning/artificial intelligence (ML/AI), the Center aims to overcome the inherent limitations of conventional trial-and-error approaches in catalyst and ligand development.
ACDC operates through three tightly interconnected research groups—Asymmetric Organocatalysis, Asymmetric Metal Catalysis, and Reaction System Design (HTE–AI/ML)—that collaborate synergistically to accelerate the discovery of transformative asymmetric catalytic technologies. This collaborative framework enables the systematic construction of chiral catalyst and ligand libraries, the development of cooperative organo/metal catalytic systems, and the realization of data-driven catalyst and reaction optimization.
Through these integrated efforts, ACDC seeks to establish a new paradigm for asymmetric catalysis research, delivering innovative, sustainable, and scalable synthetic methodologies that will underpin future advances in pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and other high-value chiral materials.
