The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the livelihood, employment, income, social relationships and health of construction workers. The construction sector was particularly affected because lockdown restrictions interrupted construction activities and reduced employment opportunities.
This study examines the economic, employment, social and health impacts of COVID-19 on construction workers in Kanniyakumari District. The study focuses on understanding the difficulties faced by construction workers during the pandemic and the ways in which they coped with the crisis.
