Whether you are brand new to the Minecraft server or a seasoned veteran, ensure that you are following the guide as intended to minimize any issues you may experience.

Although we try to keep a mostly vanilla experience in Minecraft, most of the mods that are both required and optional serve as quality of life changes to allow for better overall player experience.
Below, you will find a list of the client-side mods (both required and optional). If you do not wish to manually download them we have put together two packs you can download below, one for just the required mods and one for all mods.
Although many mods are marked as "Optional", it is highly recommended to download all of them for the best and most consistent experience on the server.
Please note that some mods may require extra setup once they are installed.
⚠️When downloading a mod manually, ensure it is compatible with both Fabric and version 1.21.5 of Minecraft. All mods needs to be placed in the "mods" folder of your Minecraft installation directory.
Below, we've packed up the mods we use in two packages to fit your needs. Once downloaded, ensure to copy the files into the Mod folder of the appropriate Minecraft installation directory. Click to download the modpack the best suites your needs.
Two different modpacks exist for each. If you are using the Modrinth launcher for Minecraft, you may click on the Modpack that best suits your needs for Modrinth. For all other use case scenarios, download a (ZIP) version of one of the modpacks.
This modpack includes all the mods listed above (required and optional).
This modpack includes only the required mods listed above.
If downloading a ZIP modpack, once downloaded, extract it and copy over all of the files to your Minecraft directory.
If downloading a Modrinth modpack, simply import the file using the Modrinth desktop app for the applicable instance.
The following listed mods are the absolute minimum that need to be installed in order to join the server.
Essential hooks for modding with Fabric.
A modding library for mod developers that provides both NeoForge's & Forge's whole config system to other modding ecosystems.
A config screen API.
A shared library mod with common code for all of Serilum's mods.
Add the ability to claim and to force load world chunks, as well as create and manage player parties.
A modding library that contains valuable utilities and APIs.
A proximity voice chat for Minecraft with a variety of addons that offer additional features and functionalities.
Allows you to specify a config once and it then handles reloading values between world loads, syncing values with clients.
The following listed mods are completely optional to play on the server but highly recommended. They provide quality of life improvements allow playing on the this server with the intended experience for all players.
Replaces the vanilla statistics screen with an new and improved statistics screen that is easier to use and that has more helpful features.
Adds simplified terrain past Minecraft's default view distance to improve performance and allow for longer draw distances.
Real-time mapping in game or in a web browser as you explore.
Client side addon mod for JourneyMap Mod that allows you to view your map in a local web browser.
JourneyMap plugin which displays chunks claimed via OpenPAC.
Addon for JourneyMap that allows you to divide the map into regions and assign them names and colors.
Lets you view the mods you have installed and, if supported by the mod, enables quick and easy access to the mod's config screens.
Attempts to improve overall satisfaction of the game through the introduction of various camera rotations, emphasizing the player's movement and improving visual feedback.
Shows you the durability of items!
A shaders mod that allows users to use shader packs while also improving performance and compatibility with other mods. *Required for some shader pack functionality with Distant Horizons.
Modding API library that features its own GUI system and various events and hooks for the game, as well as utilities that may be useful to mod developers.
Small, JIJ-able API that allows creation and parsing placeholders within strings and Minecraft Text Components.
Other client-side only mods may be used on the server as long as they are:
Compatible with Fabric,
Do not require a server-side counterpart to be installed on the server, and
They do not enable some form of cheating or hacking that puts other players at an unfair disadvantage.
A great and safe resource for mods for Minecraft is Modrinth. They also have an app that can make loading/unloading of mods for different Minecraft versions much easier and more manageable. Please note that this site does not currently support the app. Any questions or issues you may encounter using the Modrinth App will need to triaged using their support methods.
