Kimberley L. Walter, was born in Canada in 1970 to Trinidadian parents, Jennifer and Glendon Morris. By 10 years old Kimberley was well travelled and already had a passport that reflected customs stamps of her trips to Trinidad, Canada, and the United States, mirroring her later travels as a Flight Attendant working for an international airline.
Kimberley's father, well known copper work Artist and Carnival costume designer Glendon Morris, had travelled to Canada in 1967 with his Artist father Ken Morris, as they were both commissioned for "Expo 67". Expo 67 was a World's Fair celebrating Canada's 100 years of confederation, and they were celebrating with the first ever Caribana in Toronto. Three years later on her father Glendon Robert Morris EXACT birth month and day, Kimberley was born.
Kimberley, her parents, along with her two older siblings Glendon Andre Morris and Glenis Marielle Morris settled into life in Quebec until their parents divorced. After a few custody transfers resulting from the divorce, Kimberley and her two older siblings settled with their mother in Brooklyn New York, where her mother was attending nursing school. Kimberley has two younger siblings named Paulycka Antonese Williams and Hassan Neal Welch from her mother's subsequent relationships, and two younger siblings from her father's subsequent relationships, Kevin Morris and Aphara Morris.
Straight out of High School, at just 18 years old while briefly working as a Model/Actress in New York, Kimberley L. Walter (formerly Kimberley L. Morris) was chosen to be featured as the "African Model" in a 1990 Rap Music Video, "ERASE RACISM". Being that this was Kimberley's first and only featured part in a music video, she was thrilled to be chosen for such a socially relevant project while auditioning amongst several experienced New York models. Fred Brathwaite, better known as "Fab 5 Freddie", a Filmmaker, Producer, and Hip-Hip Pioneer was directing the music video "ERASE RACISM", and personally chose Kimberley at the audition, subsequently selecting her wardrobe and styling for the featured role.
As a well-travelled High School Poet, Author, Singer, and Lyricist herself who grew up in the Hip-Hop era and lived in the Crown Heights district of Brooklyn where the social impetus for the creation of the 'Erase Racism' video originally sprung, Kimberley had already lived and worked among other races and cultures at an early age. For this reason, the "ERASE RACISM" video experience is especially close to Kimberley's heart, as it holds sentiments that she has lived by, and lived out.
Entering the tumultuous and sometimes fickle 90s era Performing Arts' and Entertainment world at only 18 years old can be quite intimidating. Yet over the following years Kimberley managed to dabble between two worlds by taking acting, singing and African dance classes, as well as securing bit parts and extras work in off Broadway plays, rap music videos, and modeling shows. While pursuing the Arts, she continued advancing in her guest relations position by being promoted to the position of Director Of Guest Relations and Assistant to the General Manager at a couple of boutique hotels in Lower Manhattan. Kimberley was also exposed to spiritism, and what she calls 'protest culture', as well as the pseudo-religious side of the Performing Arts industry, participating in 'new age classes' and political campaigns that conflicted with her traditional Christian sensibilities.
In 2002, after feeling personally challenged by peers regarding her Christian faith, Kimberley wanted to know biblical principles for herself instead of second hand, so she went on a quest of searching the Bible scriptures for truth, and she miraculously found JESUS. At 32 years old, on the floor of her lower Manhattan studio apartment, she cried, and defines that time period as having been "born again", as she now had a personal acknowledgement and gratitude for who Christ is, and what He'd actually done. As Kimberley's faith journey was organic, It wasn't until approximately five years later that she found out about the 7th Day Saturday Sabbath, and after initially attending church on both Saturday and Sunday, Kimberley chose Sabbath adherence, and was subsequently baptized at the Manhattan SDA Church in 2014.
In July of 2020, Kimberley married Visual Artist, Indie Game designer and former Baruch College Professor Gabriel Walter after meeting in Church several years prior. Gabriel also attended the famous "New York High School of the Performing Arts', and both his parents Roy Walter and Anna Walter are also Artists.
Since meeting, Kimberley and Gabriel have combined her knack for poetry and singing, his BFA degree in Computer Arts, and their love of Godbreathed Artistry into creating a formidable Christian Ministry called SQUIPTURE. Squipture is a portmanteau they created from combining the word "scripture" and "equipped' from the principle in Bible verse 2 Timothy 3:16. The Bible verse conveys that everyone should be "equipped" with "scripture".
The couple was instrumental in providing online children's Bible studies and graphic arts instruction respectively during covid, and their "Squipture" Ministry has produced several Bible Studies on social media platforms via Music Albums, Music Videos, Games, and Books for children as well as adults, which edify and encourage believers in the Christian faith.
In 2026 Kimberley Walter, whose stage name is "Kimmy Dubbs", wrote the lyrics for her debut Christian album called "Squipture Sounds " with her husband who also goes by "Retrogamma" as a graphic arts game designer, and as "Gabey Dubbs" when utilizing AI as a technical director on the couples combined creative projects.
The "Dubbs" stage name stands for the first letter of their last name 'Walter', but Dubbs' also stands for the "W" in 'Win", which signifies a win in colloquial terms. The couple considers their Ministry mission of spreading the gospel through songs, poetry, and visual arts to be a collection of "Dubbs", or WINS, directly credited to the victory obtained through Christ.
The "Squipture Sounds' Album is available on most streaming platforms, and links to purchase books, games, songs, and Bible studies are available via their SQUIPTURE.com website.
