Squeeze – Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Squeeze is a Chrome extension that resizes, compresses and converts images on your own device. This policy explains what the extension does and does not do with your information.
The short version
Squeeze does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Your images never leave your computer.
Your images
All processing happens locally in your browser. The images you add are read in memory, resized and re-encoded on your device, and saved to your computer only when you choose to download them. Images are never uploaded to any server, and the developer cannot see them. When you close the popup, the images are removed from memory.
Data we collect
None. Squeeze has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no cookies and no tracking. The extension requests no browser permissions and cannot read your browsing activity, tabs or the content of any website. It is also configured with a Content Security Policy that blocks the extension from making network connections.
Metadata
Images saved by Squeeze are re-encoded, which removes embedded metadata such as EXIF data (for example camera details or GPS location) from the output files. Your original files are never changed.
Stored settings
The only information Squeeze stores is your light or dark theme preference. It is kept locally in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
Third-party links
The extension contains an optional link to the developer's Ko-fi page. Clicking it opens ko-fi.com in a new tab, and Ko-fi's own terms and privacy policy apply on that site. Nothing is sent to Ko-fi by the extension itself.
Children's privacy
Because Squeeze collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
