Part of the training cadets have access to is the Speciatly Track system. There are two types that cadets have access too, Cadet only specialty tracks, and senior member specialty tracks. This page will outline the publcations and guidelines for a cadet to obtain each specialty track. Let's start with the cadet only specialty tracks:
The Cadet Cyber badge has three levels. The criteria for obtaining each level can be found in CAPP 60-41 Part 2.
The Cadet STEM Badge has three levels. The criteria for obtaining each level can be found in CAPP 60-41 Part 3.
Cadet may earn the badges for the Emergency Services, Historian, IT, and Communications specialty tracks. The cadet does not actually earn the track, but completes the criteria necessary to earn the badge. Cadets may only earn the basic technician rated badge, except in communications. Cadets may earn all the way to the master level. Each badge has different rules about earining them, wearing them, and transfering them to senior membership. All cadet badges are recorded by utilizing a CAPF 2A and saving that document in the cadets membership file.
Cadets may earn the basic ES badge in accordance with CAPR 35-6, Section 3.a. The actual criteria for the badge can be found here CAPP 70-3.
Cadets may earn the basic Historian badge in accordance with CAPP 40-110, Page 5, Section d. The criteria for the technician rating can also be found in CAPP 40-110.
Cadets may earn the basic IT badge in accordance with CAPP 227, Page 9, final paragraph. The criteria for the technician rating can also be found in CAPP 227.
Cadets may earn the basic, intermediate, and master badges in communication in accordance with CAPR 100-1, Section 4.7. The criteria for the levels can be found in CAPP 214.
