Deputy Commander for Cadets

MAJOR AARON M. STOUT, CAP

Major Aaron M. Stout is the Deputy Commander for the 45th and the Deputy Commander for Cadets, 45th Composite Squadron, March Air Reserve Base, CA. He is tasked with overseeing several areas at the 45th as well as running the cadet program at the 45th. Maj Stout is the direct commander for training, discipline, administration, and assignments within the Cadet Program. Maj Stout specializes in statistics and data. He utilizes this information to set the cadet program on the right course for the best possible training for the cadets. 

Maj Stout has dedicated himself to building the next generation of aerospace leaders by volunteering large amounts of time to CAP.  A former cadet himself since 1998 at Cable Composite Squadron 25 in Upland, CA and Air Force JROTC at Rancho Cucamonga High School from 1999 to 2003, Maj Stout knows first hand the importance the cadet program can have on the development of young people. Maj Stout studied German in both high school and college and immerses himself in international cultures. He is a certificated multi-engine and single engine commercial pilot with instrument rating and a Part 107 sUAS pilot while pursuing hours towards his ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate. When not actively working on Civil Air Patrol activities, Maj Stout has been employed in the airline industry for the past two decades throughout Southern California and Colorado. He is an avid flight simulator enthusiast and lives in the Lake Mathews area of Riverside. Maj Stout also volunteers flying medical mission flights to Mexico, volunteers at his church on their safety team as well as utilizing flight simulator with a larger team to raise funds for other non-profits like Angel Flight West.

Maj Stout was the fingers and face behind both the 45th's and Inland Empire Group 3's social media platforms on both Facebook as well as Instagram. With the combined help of other Hawks at the 45th, 1st Domingo and TSgt Talley, the 45th's Instagram bolsters more than 1,000 followers with and has become a tool to connecting with the local community and region. 

Maj Stout spent a week in the field being mentored in Air Force leadership concepts at the command level at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada by then Col. Paul Murray, 99th Air Base Wing Commander as the primary mentor. Other mentors included Col. Zev York, 99th Air Base Wing Vice Commander and Lt. Col. Mike Freeman, 99th Civil Engineering Squadron Commander. Maj Stout participated in various forums and meetings ranging from working with the local City of Las Vegas government to family support activities and facilities on base as well as US Coalition partners including the UK, Italy, France and Germany to name a few.
