About the Symposium
About the Symposium
Quantum Computing has been making steady progress in recent years, including experimental advances and hardware developments. Josephson junction-based superconducting circuits are one of the leading systems for implementing quantum computers and other quantum technologies. Substantial progress has been made in both gate-based and annealing-based quantum computation with superconducting qubits.

At the Centre for Quantum Engineering, Research and Education (CQuERE) at TCG Centres for Research and Education in Science and Technology (TCG CREST), Kolkata, we are involved in both theoretical and experimental aspects of quantum computation. While the theoreticians at CQuERE are using the existing superconducting quantum computers of IBM, D-Wave and RIKEN, experimental efforts are on for setting up a superconducting quantum computer with an already installed Bluefors dilution refrigerator. The PhD programme at CQuERE is also in its second year.
