Okay, tried it again this morning...re-dowloaded the zip from your drop box, tried it first pointed at the mech.exe file, no go.(he means that the arty screen wasn't fixed) Repointed it towards the spwaw.exe, still no go. The resolution was much more clean, so that's a plus!

No logs for this.

The logs are not telling much....

First log, hooked the spwaw.exe task that successfuly creates a D3D9 session, then terminates with no apparent reason. No DxWnd errors are shown. The host is a 4 core (affinity mask 0xF = binary 1111) successfuly "reduced" to single core (affinity mask = 1).

Second log, different task mech.exe using a basic ddraw version 1 interface, identical core operation (reduced from 4 to 1) and termination with no apparent reason.

The change of the button from green to yellow is absolutely normal (yellow replaced the red of previous releases) and just means that with this configuration the hook takes full effect only if you start the game from the DxWnd menu, nothing more than this.

I'm afraid we can't get many ints from these experiments. It's odd, because the number of cores seemed really reduced. Could you verify that with the task manager? Running the game only, you should see CPU workload on a single core (my picture in effect shows that all cores are not loaded...).
