Sibling Preference

• The 5^th or 8^th grade student has an OLDER brother or sister (who lives at the same address with at least one common parent).

• The OLDER sibling (brother or sister) will continue to attend the same school during the next school year. If the sibling is currently a senior this year, and graduating it does not count as a sibling preference assignment.

• To enter the sibling on the ballot, you must enter their DOB and SPS student ID number.

• Those applicants who indicate siblings ON THE BALLOT will be verified.

• You MUST BALLOT even if there is an older sibling attending the preferred school. Your child will not be automatically assigned to a school because you have an older sibling attending that school.

*Cousins are not siblings.
