I am Saroj Poudyal, a postdoctoral researcher in the Light–2D Matter Interaction group at Tel Aviv University. My research focuses on the optical and electronic properties of two-dimensional materials and their heterostructures. Before joining Tel Aviv University, I completed my Ph.D. in Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai, where I was part of the Centre for 2D Materials Research and Innovation.
During my PhD I have worked on the optoelectronic properties of two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors and van der Waals heterostructures, with a particular focus on excitonic phenomena, nanofabrication, and electrical transport in low-dimensional materials. I also work on low-power memristive devices aimed at advancing quantum technologies and bio-inspired computing.
