All of the maps on this page are interactive. You can zoom into them and explore them. The analysis was conducted by unitary district rather than club.

The number of paddlers participating in at least one K1 or C1 race in 2011, 2014 or 2017 are shown on the maps organised by unitary district with the darker colours indicating a higher number of sprint-active paddlers in that district.

From the maps it is clear that the sprint active clubs in the UK are generally concentrated in the South East, South West and Midlands. Whilst the number of paddlers in each region varies slightly from 2011 to 2017 the general pattern of participation does not change significantly over time.

The data from these maps should help to identify potentially suitable locations for regional regattas.
