Privacy Policy
Effective date: 6 May 2026 Last updated: 14 May 2026
SprintBase ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the SprintBase mobile application, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
SprintBase does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name or email address to use the app.
We collect or process the following limited information:
• Device identifier — a randomly generated ID stored locally on your device. This is used solely to enforce daily usage limits (video analyses and AI coaching). It contains no personal information and cannot be traced back to you.
• Athlete profile information — optional details you enter during onboarding or in Athlete Stats, including age, gender, height, weight, experience level, primary events, and training goals. This data is stored locally on your device. Height may be sent to our analysis server during sprint analysis to improve feedback accuracy; we do not retain it after the request. Other profile fields are sent to our AI coaching server solely to personalise your coaching responses and are not stored beyond the duration of the request.
• Sprint videos — video frames you submit for analysis are transmitted to our server and then to Google's Gemini AI service for processing. We do not store your video content after the analysis response is returned.
• AI Coach messages — messages you send to the AI Sprint Coach are transmitted to our server and processed by Google's Gemini AI service. Conversation history is stored locally on your device only and is not retained on our servers.
• Photo library access — when you choose to save a training plan image, the app requests permission to write a single image to your device's photo library. We do not read from your photo library. No image data is transmitted to our servers — the image is generated on-device and saved directly.
• Subscription information — if you subscribe to SprintBase Premium, subscription status is managed by RevenueCat and your platform's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We receive only your subscription entitlement status, not your payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above only to:
• Provide and improve the sprint video analysis feature
• Provide the AI Sprint Coach and personalised training plan features
• Personalise coaching responses using your athlete profile
• Save training plan images to your photo library when you request it
• Enforce daily usage limits to ensure fair access
• Manage your Premium subscription status
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
SprintBase uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
• Google Gemini AI — processes video frames and coach messages to generate AI responses. See Google's Privacy Policy at privacy.google.com.
• RevenueCat — manages in-app subscription purchases and entitlements. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — processes subscription payments depending on your platform. See Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy and Google's Play Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Data Storage and Security
The majority of your data (conversation history, athlete profile information, usage counts) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and is never transmitted to or retained on our servers beyond the immediate request.
Device identifiers used for quota tracking are stored on our server in a plain file containing only the anonymous ID and a daily usage count. No other information is associated with these records.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data we handle, but no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Children's Privacy
SprintBase is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at sprintbasesupport@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
6. Your Rights
Because SprintBase does not collect personal information tied to your identity, there is no personal data profile to access, correct, or delete in the traditional sense.
You can clear all locally stored data (conversation history, athlete profile information, usage counts) at any time by uninstalling the app.
If you have any questions about your data, contact us at sprintbasesupport@gmail.com.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
